    Sustainable seafood: current issues & developments for responsible sourcing.

    Presentation Synopsis:

    The UK has made good progress in improving the sustainability of its seafood, but there remain many species, fisheries and farming methods that are not sustainable and are red rated at www.goodfishguide.org. This presentation will provide an update on what the key issues are at the moment, new developments and some hints and tips for responsible sourcing

    Speaker Bio:

    Sam is Head of Fisheries & Aquaculture at the UK Marine Conservation Society where his team works to make sustainable seafood the only choice for consumers. Passionate about eating and improving the sustainability of our  fisheries resources, Sam has ran industry projects to reduce the environmental impacts of commercial fishing, and has worked as a marine researcher, fisheries observer, and has an Honours Degree in Applied Marine Science from Australia.
